A calf born in 8 dec 1522 in Freiburg.
The calf was born deformed with a batch on its head and two bony knobs. It was blotchy and had a flap of skin on its back that looked like a cowl. It was missing an eye and had a large lolling tongue. It was called the monk calf on account of its seeming pate and cowl.
